Albany Police

ALBANY - Stanley L. Schmid, 58, Albany, was arrested Friday, Feb. 17, on charges of driving with a revoked license and failing to install an ignition interlock device.

- James M. Hurtley, 23, Evansville, was arrested Friday, Feb. 17, on charges of driving while under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing THC and drug paraphernalia. He was also arrested on a warrant issued by the Brodhead Police Department for writing worthless checks.

- Jason M. Douglas, 30, Albany, was cited Saturday, Feb. 18, for not registering a vehicle, displaying false registration and driving an uninsured vehicle.

- Jeremy A. Barnett, Sr., 35, Albany, was arrested Saturday, Feb. 18, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Roger E. Pickett, 51, Brodhead, was arrested at 12:56 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, in the 1500 block of 20th Street on charges of driving while intoxicated (fifth offense) and driving with a revoked license. He was jailed.

- Kevin E. Wines, 52, Brodhead, was arrested at 2:07 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue on a disorderly conduct charge of lewd and lascivious behavior. He was released pending court.

- Justin D. Halvorson, 23, Brodhead, was cited for driving with a revoked license and driving too fast for conditions on Wednesday, Feb. 15, stemming from an incident that occurred Feb. 11.

- Robert L. Prinkey, Jr., 39, Brodhead, was cited for disorderly conduct on Thursday, Feb. 16, stemming from an incident that occurred Aug. 3.

- Raul Duron Iberra, 24, Beloit, was arrested in the 600 block of East 9th Avenue at 9:37 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving without a valid license, having a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration and deviating lanes unsafely. He was released with a court date.

- A 17-year-old Brodhead boy was cited for truancy on Friday, Feb. 17, and issued a court date.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Michelle M. Miller, 30, Monroe, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, on charges of disorderly conduct, driving while intoxicated (second offense), driving with a revoked license (fourth offense), inattentive driving and driving an uninsured vehicle. Miller reportedly collided with a trailer illegally parked in the 2500 block of 13th Street. The trailer sustained minor damage. The owner of the trailer, Justin G. Hoffman, 27, Monroe, was issued a parking citation. Green County EMS responded to the scene to treat Miller for minor injuries. Miller's car was severely damaged and towed from the scene. She was released after posting a cash bond.

- Christina R. Gonzales, 35, Monroe, was cited for obstructing an officer at about 3 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, following a disturbance in the 1000 block of 8th Street.

- Jessica A. Miller, 19, Janesville, was arrested at the intersection of 13th Street and 30th Avenue at 2:19 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration and obstructing an officer, as well as several other unspecified traffic citations. Deputies from the Green County Sheriff's Department also charged her with using somebody else's ID to enter a tavern on County KK in the Town of Monroe. She was jailed pending a court appearance.

- Speakers and an amplifier were reported missing at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, from a vehicle owned by a person in the 800 block of 17th Avenue. The alleged theft happened while the car was on loan to another person. An investigation into the case is ongoing.

- A 15-year-old boy was warned for underage use of tobacco at 12:37 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, in the 2500 block of 17th Avenue.

- A theft of prescription muscle relaxant from an unlocked, parked vehicle in the 300 block of 4th Street was reported at 3:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17.

- Unauthorized use of a debit card was reported at 7:40 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, in the 2300 block of 16th Avenue. An ex-boyfriend reportedly took a woman's debit card and used it. The case is under investigation.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Police responded at 10:49 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, for a report of an ex-employee causing a disturbance with managers at a business in the Industrial Park. The business did not wish to pursue charges, so the person was issued a warning and told not to return to the premises.

- Police responded at 6:02 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, to investigate a hit-and-run crash at 6th Avenue and 2nd Street. A pick-up truck had knocked over a stop sign while making a right turn onto 2nd Street, then fled the scene.

- A resident reported at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, that a person had attempted over the phone to defraud her of a large sum of money. The caller told her the money was needed for the release of her grandson, who was arrested with a friend for narcotics violations. When the complainant began to question the caller for more information, the caller hung up. Police say these types of scams are "very prevalent." Residents are advised not to give out any personal information over the phone without determining the caller's identity and phone number.

n Police are investigating a report at 9:22 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, that a dog keeps barking in the area of 1st Street and 11th Avenue.

- Police responded to New Glarus High School, 1701 2nd St., at 12:05 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, to check on the welfare of a student who was making suicidal statements. The juvenile was interviewed by officers and then released to parents.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Daniel F. Baumgartner, 25, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense) at 1:56 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, after deputies stopped a vehicle for a moving violation on Wisconsin 11 near Richland Road in the Town of Jefferson. Baumgartner was also cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration. He was released pending court.
