ALBANY POLICE

ALBANY - On Friday, James R. Haas, 29, Albany, was cited for driving with a suspended license.

On Sunday, Johnnie L. Obel, 46, Albany, was cited for driving with a suspended license.



BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - For the week of Feb. 14 to Feb. 20, there were 106 calls for service, 26 citizen assists, 12 registrations, 10 security checks, eight 911 calls, seven assists of other agencies, six EMS calls and four traffic stops.

On Feb. 14, a gas drive-off was reported at 1:28 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police are seeking a suspect.

On Feb. 15:

• A dog at large was reported at 7:32 a.m. in the 1500 block of 20th Street. The animal's owner was issued a verbal warning.

• A case of fraud was reported at 11:44 a.m. after an individual was targeted by an online scam. The matter remains under investigation.

On Wednesday:

• A 28-year-old Brodhead woman was cited at 10:27 a.m. for contributing to her child's truancy in the 1400 block of 21st Street.

• A case of fraud was reported at 2:46 p.m. after an individual issued a check from a closed account. The matter remains under investigation.

On Thursday:

• A parking violation was reported at 7:54 a.m. after a vehicle was found parked across a crosswalk in the 1400 block of 21st Street. A warning was issued to the driver.

• A case of theft was reported at 11:57 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Center Avenue. The case remains under investigation.

• An animal at large was reported at 12:01 p.m. in the 500 block of 10th Street. The animal's owner was issued warnings for allowing the animal to roam and for failure to dispose of the animal's feces.

• A case of theft was reported at 12:03 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Center Avenue. The case remains under investigation.

• Damage to property was reported at 12:58 p.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. The matter remains under investigation.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 1:57 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The offender returned to pay for the gas.

• A 25-year-old Woodbridge, Ill., man was cited at 4:04 p.m. for speeding in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue.

On Saturday, a 31-year-old Madison man was cited for failure to maintain his vehicle's headlamps after having been ordered to do so in January.



MONROE POLICE

MONROE - Eric G. Leibold, 50, Monroe, was arrested at 5:15 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of 9th Street on a third-offense charge of driving while intoxicated, two counts of felony bail jumping, fleeing an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. Leibold was jailed.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On Feb. 14:

• A suspicious situation was reported at 6:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street.

• Police checked the welfare of an individual at the intersection of 6th Street and 9th Avenue. An extremely intoxicated person was found collapsed in the roadway. The person was transported to the hospital.

On Feb. 15:

• A report of theft was made at 3:06 p.m. in the 10 block of 7th Avenue. A black and red gas-powered snow blower was reported stolen.

• Leroy A. Parmer, 39, New Glarus, was cited at 4:01 p.m. for driving with a suspended license and driving without vehicle insurance on Kubly Road.

• Kipp A. Erickson, 19, Evansville, was cited at 9:04 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance in the 600 block of Wisconsin 69.

On Feb. 16, police assisted an outside agency with an investigation.

On Wednesday:

• A report of threats against a resident was made at 9:23 a.m. The case remains under investigation.

• Police assisted a citizen at 10:11 a.m. with a child who refused to go to school in the 1400 block of 2nd Street.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 11:02 a.m. in the 300 block of Heidi Court.

• Dylan J. Bauman, 22, Juda, was cited at 4:35 p.m. for improperly stopping at a stop sign at the intersection of 2nd Street and 11th Avenue.

• Nikol D. Melenberger, 42, New Glarus, was cited at 5:36 p.m. for speeding in the 10 block of 2nd Street.

On Thursday:

• Police assisted the Dane County Sheriff at 1:35 p.m. with an ongoing investigation.

• Heather D. Dybevik, 38, New Glarus, was cited at 3:53 p.m. for driving with a suspended license and a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.

• A vehicle was found parked in a prohibited area at 8:33 p.m. in the 500 block of 2nd Street. The vehicle was cited and the owner was told to move it.

• An ordinance violation was reported at 8:30 p.m. in the 400 block of 6th Avenue.

On Friday:

• Downed power lines were reported at 10:46 a.m. in the 400 block of Railroad Street. No hazardous lines were found.

• Police helped unlock a vehicle at 1:10 p.m. in the 300 block of 5th Avenue.

• A traffic complaint was made at 3:24 p.m. within the village. Both drivers concerned were contacted. The incident remains under investigation.

• Screws and nails were reported in the roadway at 4:46 p.m. at the intersection of Wis. 69 and 6th Avenue. The items were removed.

On Saturday:

• Police responded at 10:17 a.m. to the New Glarus High School to address a disorderly parent at a basketball tournament. The parent agreed to remain civil.

• A lost wallet was found at 2:26 p.m. and was subsequently returned to its owner.

• Police helped unlock a vehicle at 3:16 p.m.

• Katharine C. Goray, 64, Madison, was cited at 6:46 p.m. for speeding in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 10:32 p.m. in disposing of an animal carcass in the roadway on Wis. 69.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Friday, Christopher M. Arn, 31, Monroe, was cited at 2:28 p.m. for driving with a revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia on Bethel Road, Town of Clarno.

On Saturday, Jeremy L. Harnish, 32, Stoughton, was cited at 7:50 p.m. for driving without a valid license in the N3900 block of Wis. 59, Town of Sylvester.

On Sunday

• Two Freeport men were arrested at 1:12 p.m. after a traffic stop in the N1200 block of Wis. 69, Town of Clarno. Michael J. Crayton, 46, was arrested on two counts of possession of cocaine and one count each of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Crayton was also cited for speeding, driving without a valid license and driving with open intoxicants. Larry C. Allen, 59, was arrested on two counts of possession of cocaine and one count of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver. Allen was also cited for having open intoxicants in a vehicle. Both men were jailed.

• Joey P. Diaz-Barnett, 18, Monroe, turned himself in at 6:53 p.m. on a Brodhead Police warrant for loitering. Diaz-Barnett was released on bond.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare at 5:16 a.m. on County KK, Town of Gratiot.

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 9:36 a.m. on North Judgement Street in Shullsburg.

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare at 5:15 p.m. on Front Street, Town of New Diggings.

• A power outage occurred at 8 p.m. in Darlington.

• Ronald J. Leifker, 32, Shullsburg, was arrested at 9:38 p.m. on a probation violation after deputies checked an individual's welfare on West Water Street in Shullsburg. Leifker was jailed.

• Shasta L. Hixton, 22, Argyle, was cited at 10:04 p.m. for driving without proof of vehicle insurance on State Street in Argyle.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 10:15 p.m. on County N, Town of Argyle.

• An injured deer was reported at 10:30 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

On Saturday:

• Threats to injure were reported at 1:30 a.m. on Hilldale Road, Town of New Diggings.

• A disabled vehicle was reported at 3:19 a.m. on County P, Town of Monticello.

• A deputy investigated an open door at 7:31 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Lamont.

• Attempted burglary was reported at 12:27 p.m. on South Judgement Street in Shullsburg.

• An injured deer in the roadway was reported at 7:15 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

• Cattle in the roadway was reported at 8:07 p.m. on County D, Town of Fayette.

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare on South Mound Avenue in Belmont.

On Sunday:

• A traffic complaint was made at 3:15 a.m. on Milwaukee Street in Argyle.

• Criminal damage to a mailbox was reported at 6:08 a.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.

• A traffic complaint was made at 6:46 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

• Dale E. Ackerman, 60, Argyle, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. for disorderly conduct after a domestic dispute was reported on Galena Street in Argyle. Ackerman was released on bond.

• A deputy helped unlock a vehicle at 10:50 p.m. on West Mound Avenue in Belmont.
