MONROE - April R. Odair, 34, Brooklyn, was arrested at 11:58 p.m. Sunday, Feb.16 at an address in rural Brooklyn after deputies received a report from New Glarus Police that a person had fled the scene of an accident on County W East of Elmer Road, Village of New Glarus. Odair was arrested on a warrant through the Dane County Sheriff for failure to appear. Deputies turned Odair over to Dane County.

MONROE - Police received a report at about 12:53 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14 of an attempt by an alleged telemarketing firm to solicit funds from a local business to conduct fundraising for advertising for local schools. Investigation indicates that local schools do their own advertising. The police department is continuing investigation into the activity. The police reminds citizens to use caution when dealing with third party fundraising, and to be sure that the fundraisers actually represent the local entity being supported. Some sort of letter of introduction is better than just a phone solicitation.
Eric L. Runaas, 23, Albany, was arrested at 11:36 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 in the 700 block of 21st Street for driving a vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. Runaas was released pending court.

DARLINGTON - A deputy responded to Peace Street, Shullsburg, at 5:44 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 to assist a motorist by unlocking their vehicle.
