Monroe Police

MONROE - On Thursday, Dec. 26:

• Police were called to check on the welfare of a 44-year-old male at a residence at 4:04 a.m. in the 2300 block of 17th Avenue. The individual was deceased. No signs of foul play were found, and the case remains under investigation by police and the coroner's office.

• Police were called to check on an unresponsive person at 10:42 a.m. in the 2800 block of 6th Avenue. A 93-year-old female was found deceased. No signs of foul play were found, and the case remains under investigation by police and the coroner's office.

• Linda M. Swedlund, 41, Monroe, was arrested for bail jumping after police responded at 2:21 p.m. to a residence in the 2000 block of 18th Avenue for an out-of-control intoxicated female. Swedlund was out on bond from a prior offense and had a no-alcohol provision as a bond condition. Swedlund was jailed pending court.

• Police were called at 4:11 p.m. to a residence in the 2600 block of 8th Avenue for a report of an out-of-control 13-year-old female. The child was released to parents.

• Police investigated at 6:11 p.m. a report of theft of prescription medication from a residence in the 100 block of North 20th Avenue. The investigation continues.

• Police were called at 10:23 p.m. to 9th Street and 22nd Avenue for a report of two males arguing. The men were not fighting when police arrived and were warned about disturbing the neighborhood.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - William Earl Lowe III, 33, Madison, was arrested on charges of criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct and a department of corrections probation hold after deputies responded at 7:04 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 26 to a residence in the N3600 block of County N in Monroe Township. Lowe had caused a disturbance at the residence and fled prior to the arrival of law enforcement. The Madison Police Department located Lowe and arrested him. He remains jailed in Dane County pending transport to Green County.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Thursday, Dec. 26:

• A deputy assisted the DNR with the investigation of a complaint of manure running into an open field at 12:15 p.m. at a location on County Z in Kendall Township.

• A deputy responded at 4:30 p.m. for a complaint of livestock in the roadway on Wis. 11 in Wayne Township.
