MONROE - Robert T. Baldwin, 56, Monroe, was arrested at his residence in the 1300 block of 17th Street at 5:17 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, on an apprehension warrant issued by the Department of Corrections for a parole violation. Baldwin is a registered sex offender and was released from prison and into the community on Dec. 11. He was jailed.
- Samantha K. Harding, 26, Brodhead, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 2:38 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, in the 500 block of 22nd Street, after police responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the vehicle. Police are seeking a 28-year-old Brodhead man in reference to the domestic dispute. Harding was released pending court.
- Manuel Ramirez Vazquez, 22, Monroe, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and without a valid license after police responded at 7:11 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25, to a vehicle that had collided with a snowbank in the 2000 block of 9th Avenue. Ramirez Vazquez faces several other traffic charges. He was released pending court.
- Elliott S. Drain, 23, Monroe, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign after police responded at 1:12 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at 13th Avenue and 16th Street. Drain collided with a vehicle driven by John D. Baumann, 53, Monroe. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
- Moayyad Hassan Mustafa, 46, Monroe, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign after police responded at 3:07 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, to a two-vehicle accident at 19th Street and 15th Avenue. Mustafa collided with a vehicle driven by Darci A. Clark, 34, Monroe. A 14-year-old passenger in Mustafa's vehicle sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment.
- Jordan J. Ladow, 23, Monroe, was cited for retail theft at 4:53 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, after he reportedly shoplifted a $59.96 video game from Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W.
- Laura K. Sewell, 42, Orangeville, Ill., was cited for disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of a dispute over employment in the parking lot in front of Dollar Tree, 301 6th Ave., at 7:04 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21. Sewell was upset about the treatment of her 20-year-old daughter, an employee at Dollar Tree, and opened the door to a car and threw a set of keys at the face of the store's manager, a 53-year-old woman from Freeport, Ill. Sewell also allegedly left a voicemail with "derogatory comments" for the woman.
- Phyllis A. Knisley, 57, Monroe, was cited for allowing a dog to run at large in the 2300 block of 14th Avenue after neighbors reported the offense at 6:57 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23. Knisley came to police with a counter complaint that the neighbors had come over and yelled and swore at her. Police warned the neighbors to be civil.
- Leah B. Douglas, 22, Brodhead, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign after police responded at 3:13 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at 15th Avenue and 21st Street. Douglas collided with a vehicle driven by Breanna C. Burger, 19, Albany.
- A woman came into the police station at 11:53 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, to report a man was sending her unwanted messages on Facebook. The man is incarcerated and therefore has no access to Facebook, so police are looking into allegations that his girlfriend is sending the messages while logged into his Facebook account.
- Police referred potential charges against a 39-year-old Brodhead man to the district attorney for review after a 24-year-old Brodhead woman complained at 1:55 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, that he was texting her in violation of a restraining order. The man proceeded to come tell her in person that the texts weren't meant for her - another potential violation of the restraining order.
- Police are investigating a report at 2:47 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, that someone stole credit cards from a missing wallet to make fraudulent purchases at businesses in Brodhead and Monroe.
- The theft of a prepaid cellphone from a residence in the 200 block of 4th Avenue was reported at 7:51 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22.
- A dog owner was warned after police responded to an anonymous complaint of "big black dogs" running loose again in the 1200 block of 23rd Street at 2:25 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23.
- A resident in the 1600 block of 19th Street reported at 8:56 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, that he looked outside and saw a teen boy boxing against an inflatable snowman in his yard. The teen took off. There was no damage to the inflatable snowman.
- A resident in an apartment complex the 300 block of 3rd Avenue was warned to stay away from another building in the complex after police responded to a complaint at 8:23 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, that he was coming over and picking through an ashcan for cigarette butts to smoke.
- "Louie," a white Maltese dog, was reported missing by its owner in the 400 block of 27th Street at 11:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24. If found, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.
- Police were dispatched in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Dec. 25, to the 300 block of 4th Street and 900 block of 13th Avenue to warn residents to turn down music and be quieter.
- A gas drive-off was reported at Stop-N-Go, 1607 9th St., at 5:23 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25.
- A cat bite from a pet cat was reported at 1:22 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25. The bite occurred the day before, but the victim thought the injury was getting worse and requested ambulance transport from the 2800 block of 1st Street to Monroe Clinic for treatment. The cat is up-to-date on vaccinations.
- Between Friday, Dec. 21, and Monday, Dec. 24, police warned property owners to adequately clear snow off sidewalks in the 1000 block of 8th Street, the 600 and 700 blocks of 8th Avenue and the 900 block of 16th Avenue.

NEW GLARUS - Sharita L. Jennings, 28, Madison, was arrested on a warrant issued by an adjacent county and on charges of driving with a suspended vehicle registration and driving with a suspended license (11th offense) at 1:29 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, in the 1700 block of 2nd Street.
- Brooke R. Gordon, 25, New Glarus, was arrested at an unspecified location at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, on an active warrant issued by the Department of Corrections. She was jailed.
- Peter A. Nause, 59, Fitchburg, was cited for driving with a suspended license at an unspecified location at 4:06 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23.
- Police were dispatched to 907 Railroad Street at 10:03 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, for a report of vandalism to a vehicle parked in the driveway. The rear window was smashed out, and one of the tires had been slashed.

MONROE - Deputies responded at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, to a report of an underage drinking party being hosted at a residence in the N5200 block of Church Road in the Town of Washington. Sean T. McCormick, 20, Monroe, was cited for underage drinking (second offense within 12 months) and was arrested on a warrant issued by Lafayette County for failure to pay a fine. He posted bond and was released. Danielle B. Hagen, 19, rural Monroe, was cited for underage drinking. The resident at the home, Aleron J. Wasserstrass, 26, was cited for failure to take action to prevent underage drinking.
- A mother and daughter were both arrested in the early morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 23. Management at Sir Buk's Dance Club, W5222 County KK, called the sheriff's office at 12:03 a.m. to report a person with a suspected fake ID. As a result, Kadeisha C. Otto, 18, Freeport, Ill., was arrested on charges of underage drinking and providing deputies with a fictitious name and date of birth. She was booked into jail. At 3:29 a.m., her mother Tracy I. Otto, 34, Baileyville, Ill., came to the sheriff's department to post the required cash bond for her daughter. She was subsequently arrested for first-offense driving while intoxicated. Both women were released to a responsible person.
- Jason W. Hartwig, 35, New Glarus, was arrested on a charge of third-offense driving while intoxicated after deputies located a vehicle that had fled the scene of a crash in Dane County at 5:03 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23. Deputies stopped the vehicle with the assistance of New Glarus and Monticello police. Hartwig was also cited for driving with a revoked license and no headlights, failure to stop at a stop sign and having open intoxicants in the vehicle. He was jailed.
- Cory L. Haak, 38, Madison, was arrested after Dane County and Green County deputies responded at 9:31 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, to a report of a man causing a disturbance on Hotel Street in Brooklyn. He was jailed. He faces misdemeanor charges in Green County Circuit Court of disorderly conduct and taking and driving a vehicle without consent of the owner, as well as two counts of felony bail jumping. His signature bond was set Wednesday, Dec. 26, at $5,000. Conditions of his bond include no drinking, no contact with a woman or her residence on Church Street in Brooklyn and no contact with County Corners Tavern, also in Brooklyn.
- Bonnie M. Budish, 32, Monticello, was arrested on a charge of third-offense driving while intoxicated after deputies responded to a report of an intoxicated woman at a residence on Legler Valley Road in the Town of New Glarus at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25. The woman, identified as Budish, drove away from the home before deputies arrived. She was stopped at the intersection of Wis. 69 and Urban Road in Monticello. She was jailed pending cash bond or court.
- Kaitlyn S. Peters, 22, Freeport, Ill., was cited for failure to maintain control after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on Wisconsin 69 south of County P in the Town of Clarno at 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22. Peters was northbound when she lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle spun around, went into the ditch and collided with a road sign. Peters and her passengers were not injured. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The Green County Highway Department was notified of the damaged sign.
- Citations are pending in a rollover accident involving driver Jorge Luis Martinez Gallegos, 35, Darlington, on Wis. 81 at Klondike Road in the Town of Jordan. The occupants fled the scene but were later located and identified. Martinez Gallegos was eastbound on Wis. 81 when he lost control on the ice- and snow-covered road. The vehicle veered into the ditch and overturned several times before coming to rest. He and his three passengers reported no injuries. The vehicle was very severely damaged and towed.
- Siven A. Furseth, 19, Janesville, was cited for driving with a revoked license after a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction in the W4300 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Jefferson at 3:34 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23.
- Kyle R. Andrews, 26, Monroe, was cited for reckless driving, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after deputies and New Glarus police responded to a report of a road rage incident on Wis. 69 near County H at 7:01 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24.
