MONROE - Rebecca A. Niesman, 34, Monroe, was cited at 5:41 p.m. Wednesday for operating without a driver's license and operating a motor vehicle without insurance after deputies stopped a vehicle in the N6900 block of Wisconsin 69, Town of Washington. Niesman was released pending court.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday:

• A deputy responded at 9:08 a.m. to a report of disorderly conduct at a location on Alma Street in the Village of Benton.

• A deputy responded at 9:50 a.m. to a report of public nuisance at a location on County J in the Village of Benton.

• Deputies responded at 4:22 p.m. to check the welfare of an individual on East Water Street in Shullsburg.

• A deputy responded at 6:56 p.m. to a report of fraud at a location on East Water Street in Shullsburg.

• A deputy responded at 8:26 p.m. to assist a motorist with unlocking a vehicle on Parkinson Road in Fayette Township.

• William O. Hocking, 56, Platteville, was cited at 11:49 p.m. for no seatbelt, a passenger not wearing seatbelt and no proof of insurance, following a traffic stop on Wis. 11 in Wayne Township.

On Wednesday:

• A deputy responded to a traffic complaint at 6:50 a.m. to Wisconsin 23, Darlington Township.

• A deputy responded to County D in Wiota Township at 8:10 a.m. for a report of criminal damage to property.

• A deputy responded to Wisconsin 23, Willow Springs Township, for a civil dispute complaint at 9:50 a.m.

• A deputy responded to Wisconsin 81, Darlington Township, for a 911 hang-up at 11:40 a.m.

• A deputy responded at 12:40 p.m. to Wisconsin 81, Seymour Township, for a traffic complaint.

• A deputy responded at 9:05 p.m. to Apple Grove Road, Argyle Township, for a suspicious person complaint.

• Steven Strossner, 24, Orangeville, was arrested at 10:26 p.m. for disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to a disorderly conduct complaint at West Center Street, Village of South Wayne. Strossner was jailed.
