Albany Police

ALBANY - David C. Kraft, 37, Albany, was arrested Sunday, Aug. 4, on two warrants and on charges of obstructing an officer and possessing drug paraphernalia.

• Amber M. Schmid, 29, Albany, was arrested Sunday, Aug. 4, on a warrant.

• Stanley L. Schmid, 59, Albany, was arrested Sunday, Aug. 4, on a charge of disorderly conduct. The incident resulted in a misdemeanor charge of battery and two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct being filed against him the following day in Green County Circuit Court. His signature bond is set at $1,000 with the condition that he not drink. His initial appearance is Aug. 26.

• Olivia L. Halvorson, 24, Albany, was cited for driving with a revoked license on Friday, Aug. 2.

• Cited for outside consumption of alcohol on Saturday, Aug. 3 were Kyle J. Everard, 28, Monona, Dustin D. Nielsen, 31, Belleville, and Richard E. Wolfe, 26, Middleton.

• Dustin D. Harnack, 36, Evansville, was cited for obstructing an officer on Sunday, Aug. 4.

• Dwayne P. Helmer, 43, Albany, was cited for obstructing an officer on Sunday, Aug. 4.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Ryan M. Kundert, 27, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after police stopped him for loud exhaust in the 600 block of 8th Avenue at 1:21 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license and released pending court.

• Kenneth Martin Johnson, 23, Monroe, was arrested at a residence in the 1500 block of 13th Avenue after police were called at 9:06 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, to a fight between Johnson and a 16-year-old Franklin boy over a broken lamp. Punches were thrown. The 16-year-old also allegedly punched holes in the wall. Johnson was jailed and faces Class A misdemeanor counts of battery and bail jumping in Green County Circuit Court. His signature bond is set at $1,000. The 16-year-old was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property, then released to a parent pending court.

On Friday, Aug. 2:

• At least two noise complaints came in at about 3 a.m. about kids spending the night in a pop-out camper in the front yard of a residence in the 700 block of 17th Avenue. They were getting ready to go on a camping trip. Police stopped by to warn them about the noise, and the mother took the eager campers inside.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 6:01 a.m. at Kwik Trip, 1019 9th St. Police are investigating leads.

• A BMX bike was reported stolen at 8:54 a.m. out of an open residential garage in the 1000 block of 5th Street.

• A resident in the 1900 block of 10th Street reported at 10:59 a.m. that a former tenant left her cat behind when she moved out. Police told the tenant to come get her cat.

• An anonymous caller complained at 1:02 p.m. of a dog barking in the area of 17th Avenue and 23rd Street. Police located no barking dogs.

• A few hundred dollars cash was reported lost somewhere on the downtown Square at 1:28 p.m. If found, call dispatch at 608-329-2400 or drop by the police station.

• A woman reported an ex-boyfriend for a temporary restraining order violation at 4:03 p.m. Police referred to the matter to the district attorney for possible charges.

• The Green County Humane Society reported at 4:31 p.m. that a woman brought a cat into the shelter without first going to police, as required by city law. Police instructed her to let the cat go where she found it.

• A third party in a civil dispute in the 1700 block of 11th Street called at 6:17 p.m. to report that a relative was mad at his girlfriend because she won't give him half of her W-2 money. Police advised the caller the matter is civil, not criminal.

• A fight in the Taco Bell parking in the 600 block of West 8th Street was reported at 9:35 p.m. Upon arrival, police located no fight or people in the lot.

On Saturday, Aug. 3:

• A message was left for a dog owner in the 1000 block of 16th Street after police responded to a complaint at 12:01 a.m. of dogs barking.

• A 14-year-old girl was reported for running away from a group home in the 1700 block of 15th Street at 2:39 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, and again at 8:03 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4. She was later located both times. The case was referred to juvenile authorities.

• A dog left in a parked vehicle in the 100 block of 7th 1/2 Street was reported at 5:41 p.m. The windows were cracked, and police found that the dog did not appear to be in distress.

• A 56-year-old woman in the 2100 block of 14th Avenue was warned after police responded to a report at 6:49 p.m. that she sprayed weed-killer in the direction of a group of teen girls on the street. One of the girls' mothers reported the incident. No one was injured.

• Barking dogs were reported between 9 and 10:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of 16th Street and on Willow Way. In each case, police did not locate the dogs or their owners.

• Four juveniles walking through Honey Creek Park on their way to the skate park at 11:27 p.m. were warned not to be in the park afterhours.

On Sunday, Aug. 4:

• Emergency room staff reported an assault at 11:47 a.m. that occurred Friday, Aug. 2. A woman had sustained an injury while she was exchanging her granddaughter with the girl's father. He allegedly chestbumped her, causing her skin to tear where she had a recent surgery.

• Police were called at 12:55 p.m. after a shotgun went off at a trailer park in the 2000 block of Edgeview Drive. People were cleaning out a trailer belonging to a person who recently died when they accidentally dropped a shotgun. It was loaded and went off. The pellets went through the trailer's exterior wall and nicked a neighboring trailer. No one was injured, or cited or arrested.

• Unauthorized use of a disability benefits card was reported at 1 p.m. Police were again called about two and a half later when the victim went over to the suspect's home to argue over it.

• A property manager in the 800 block of 6th Street reported at 5:08 p.m. that a former tenant was driving by and yelling things.

• Loiterers in the Taco Bell parking lot were told to leave after an employee at the restaurant reported at 10:29 p.m. that they were driving a remote-controlled car around the parking lot.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - James E. Truesdill, 38, New Glarus, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after police responded to the 100 block of 3rd Avenue at 12:01 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, for a report of an intoxicated man sleeping in the Village Park. Truesdill was jailed.

• Lionel J. Dumond, 47, New Glarus, was arrested for a probation violation after police observed him intoxicated at 9:13 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2. He was jailed.

• Victoria D. Henderson, 19, New Glarus, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance and for a seatbelt violation at 1:01 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, in the 10 block of 6th Avenue.

• A hit-and-run vehicle crash was reported at Monroe Clinic in New Glarus at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 30. Robert Heinen, 62, New Glarus, reported an unknown vehicle struck the rear of his vehicle and left the scene. His vehicle sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.

• A suspicious phone call was reported at 8:07 p.m. Tuesday, July 30. The citizen reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be from the gas and electric company. The caller said the citizen owed $310 and should pay using a money transfer at Walgreens, payable to "Green DOT MoneyPak." This is an attempt to defraud citizens. The New Glarus Police Department is reminding citizens again to be careful what personal information they give over the phone, Internet and email.

• Criminal damage to a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix parked in the 300 block of Elmer Road was reported at 1:36 p.m. Wednesday, July 31. The suspect or suspects kicked the front, driver's side and quarter panel, causing a large dent. Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call the police department at 608-527-2145.

• Police responded to a loud noise complaint in the 800 block of 3rd Street at 2:38 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, and located an after-bar party with people being loud. The people were advised to move inside and keep the noise down.

• A parking citation was issued after police responded to a parking complaint in the 600 block of 2nd Street at 6:47 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.

• Police responded to a loud music complaint in the 400 block of 6th Avenue at 12:03 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4. The person responsible for the source of the music was warned to keep it down, and that if officers had to return, a citation would be issued.

• At 12:10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, police received a purse located in the Village Park. It was determined that the purse was stolen from a vehicle the previous evening at a location in the county. The sheriff's department is handling the theft investigation.

• Police were dispatched to a 911 hang-up call in the 400 block of 6th Avenue at 10:06 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4. Everything was found to be OK.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Shawn M. Ashman, 22, Shullsburg, was arrested on a warrant for failure to report, after deputies responded to a civil dispute on West Water Street in Shullsburg at 12:37 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. He was jailed.

• Adam J. Pinnow, 24, South Wayne, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 2:13 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, on Wis. 81 in Lamont Township. He was also cited for passing in a no-passing zone, speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance. He was later released to a responsible party.

• John L. Carothers Muszynski, 21, Mineral Point, was arrested on charges of domestic disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and bail jumping after deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Main Street in Calamine at 10:03 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4. He was jailed.

• Mitchell A. Dunasky, 58, and Donavon H. Peterson, 58, both of Burbank, Ill., and Alexander T. Voigts, 35, Algonquin, Ill., were cited for speeding on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township at 11:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2.

• Shaun C. McCree, 34, Apple River, Ill., was cited for driving with a suspended license on Ravine Street in Darlington at 1:56 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2.

• Edgar Mendez-Aguilar, 16, Darlington, was cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control after a deputy responded to a one-vehicle accident on Red Rock Road in Darlington Township at 4:14 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2. He lost control on a curve, and the vehicle slid sideways, entered the ditch line and hit a tree. Both he and his passenger, Kyle E. Gille, 17, Darlington, reported no injuries.

• Amanda B. and Bryan S. Talbot, both 26 and of Genoa City, were cited for failure to wear seatbelts at 4:19 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, on Komprood Road in Gratiot Township.

• Wade B. Sheckler, 24, Fennimore, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance on Wis. 81 in Seymour Township at 6:44 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.

• Brian P. Runyard, 58, Rockford, was cited for speeding on Wis. 81 in Seymour Township at 7:39 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4.

• Jeremy L. Torkelson, 41, Wadena, Iowa, was cited for speeding and defective headlights at 12:16 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, on Wis. 23 in Willow Spring Township.

• A deputy responded to the Monroe Clinic ER at 5:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, to take a report of a dog bite to a human that occurred on County XX in Belmont Township.

• Deputies responded to a residence at 7:23 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, to take a report of someone making threats to injure on County XX in Belmont Township.

• Several complaints of theft were reported on Wis. 78 in Argyle at 9:48 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2.

• The theft of a temporary handicap tag from a vehicle on Wis. 11 in South Wayne was reported at 4:23 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.

• Criminal damage to property was reported on County D in Wayne Township at 7:49 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.

• A deputy assisted Darlington police with a disturbance at the Super 8 Motel on Christensen Drive at 12:08 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4.

• A hit-and-run accident was reported on West Water Street in Shullsburg at 5:25 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4. An eastbound vehicle hit a legally parked truck belonging to Franki L. Hale, 46, Shullsburg. The suspect vehicle then continued on West Water Street. It is described as a dark blue Ford pickup truck driven by a male. Hale's truck sustained minor damage. The suspect truck was not located.

• A deputy responded to County G in Willow Springs Township at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, for a welfare check of a person walking on the road. The male was located at his nearby residence and warned, for his safety, to avoid walking in the road.
