MONROE - Helen L. Winkler, 37, Monroe, was arrested on charges of substantial battery, false imprisonment and two counts of bail jumping at 1:29 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, after police responded to a domestic dispute in the 800 block of 8th Street. She was jailed. She faces a Class I felony in Green County Circuit Court for the substantial battery charge, a Class H felony for the false imprisonment charge and seven misdemeanor counts related to the incident. She signed a $5,000 signature bond Thursday, Aug. 30, with the conditions that she not drink or enter establishments that sell alcohol. She must also undergo a daily test for alcohol at the Monroe Police Department. Her next court hearing in the matter is Sept. 18.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Wednesday, Aug. 29:

• Anthony V. Childs, 44, Freeport, Ill., was arrested at 3:09 a.m. on a warrant issued by the City of Brodhead for failure to pay a fine on a battery charge. Deputies made the arrest after responding to a traffic complaint on a vehicle on Wisconsin 69 at County FF. Childs was jailed.

• Staci L. Arnsmeier, 42, Brodhead, was cited for driving with a revoked license and violating a license restriction after deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding at 8:57 a.m. in Juda.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, Aug. 29:

• A mother and son, both of South Wayne, were arrested after deputies responded to a family dispute that got physical. Jonathan L. Arnold, 20, was arrested on a charge of battery after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at 4:15 p.m. on West Center Street in South Wayne. About two hours later, at 6:33 p.m., deputies responded to the same location for a report of a female causing a disturbance. As a result, Melody J. Arnold, 42, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. Both Arnolds were jailed.

• Todd H. Seffrood, 30, South Wayne, was cited for speeding at 7:52 a.m. on County F in the Town of Fayette.

• Aric J. Geissbuhler, 16, Darlington, was cited for speeding and driving without vehicle insurance at 1:19 p.m. on Wisconsin 23 in the Town of Darlington.

• Caolae J. Jones, 23, Westby, was cited for speeding at 1:35 p.m. on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

• Alexander J. Suchon, 24, Plover, was cited for speeding at 1:53 p.m. on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Wayne.

• Shannon Stapp, 26, Madison, was cited for speeding at 2:07 p.m. on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

• Richard C. Adix, 69, Brookfield, was cited for speeding at 2:38 p.m. on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

• Amy M. Gregory, 24, Belmont, was cited at 2:39 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance and allowing a passenger to ride without a seatbelt. Also cited was Jamison R. Schumacher, 19, Belmont, for not wearing a seatbelt.

• Todd R. Yeazel, 50, Whitewater, was cited for speeding at 3:18 p.m. on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Wayne.

• Laura A. Kloster, 20, Rockton, Ill., was cited for speeding at 4:14 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.
