MONROE - A Monroe man charged with four felony counts of Medicaid fraud will not have a plea entered until January as he awaits financing to make restitution in the case.

Anthony Anglin, 28, appeared in Green County Circuit Court Wednesday for an arraignment before Judge Thomas Vale.

Anglin's attorney Joseph Pecora said he and the DA conducted many discussions in order to reach some type of agreement. He added that there is an estimated restitution fee of more than $100,000 and Anglin has been in contact with his financial institution to have the payment in full. The full amount won't be available to Anglin until the beginning of 2012.

The defense asked the court to hold off on entering pleas until the new year when Anglin can pay in full.

There was no objection by the state, or the court.

"The key here is paying the restitution," said Wisconsin Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Gabrysiak.

A criminal complaint, filed May 31, alleges Anglin knowingly made false statements between June 13, 2009 to April 19, 2010 in support of claims for payment for Medicaid reimbursement relating to transportation for four patients through Anglin's business, Anglin Transport Services, Inc.

A plea hearing was set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24.
