OREGON - Paul C. Bartelt, age 41, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on June 17, 1970, and grew up in Brooklyn, the son of Donavon and Darlene (Johnson) Bartelt. Paul graduated from Albany High School in 1988. In 1996, he, his father and brother Tim started an asphalt business, Bartelt Enterprises Inc. Paul married Wendie Edwards on June 19, 1999, in Verona. He enjoyed old John Deere tractors, hunting, being outdoors, cooking and taking on projects. Paul's family was the most important thing in his life. He is survived by his wife, Wendie; son, P. J.; three stepchildren, Derrick, Randall (Lindsay) and Lindsey Edwards; his parents, Don and Darlene Bartelt; brothers, Tim (Karen) and John (Nicole); a sister, Sarah; nieces and nephews, Evan, Avery and Regan Bartelt, Michael and Kayla Kundert; and many extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1801 S. Thompson Road, Madison, at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, with the Rev. Dean Howell presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 2 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Burial will be at Jug Prairie Cemetery, Yarwood Road, Brooklyn, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011.
