Olga Colden, age 81, of Twin Grove, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at her home. She was born on July 6, 1934, the daughter of John and Frieda (Schmoker) Klossner, and attended New Glarus High School.
Olga and Ralph Colden were married on December 20, 1952 at the Swiss Evangelical & Reformed Church in New Glarus.
She drove School Bus, worked for Structo Corporation, and later she was a licensed, in home, day care provider in Monroe for many years. She was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and Women of the Moose Lodge #599.
She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, playing cards, music, dancing; but her biggest joy was spending time with her family. She was very proud of her Swiss heritage.
She is survived by her children: Steven (Julie) Colden of Spring Green, Kenneth (Cathy Johnsen) Colden of New Glarus, Gregory (JoAnn) Colden of Monroe, and Diana (Paul) Reigle of Twin Grove; sister-in-law, Harriet Klossner of New Glarus; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Rodney Zimmerman.
She is predeceased by her parents; husband, Ralph; brother, John Robert Klossner, sister, Nellie Fuchs, and 1 great-grandson, Daniel Colden.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Monroe United Methodist Church 2227 4th Street, in Monroe, with Pastor Vicki Brantmeyer officiating. Burial will follow in Swiss Church Cemetery in New Glarus.
Visitation will be Monday, May 9th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church. Women of the Moose service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9th.
