MONROE - A Monroe man remains jailed following a report of a sexual assault at about 4 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of 17th Street.

Joseph R. Gadson, 28, is charged with second-degree sexual assault of an adult female. Police report Gadson had sexual intercourse with the woman without her consent.
