Miriam E. Blumer, age 92, of Albany, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Manor in Footville. She was born on April 6, 1923, the daughter of Dempster and Amber (Lewis) Davis in Attica. She was a 1941 graduate of Albany High School. Miriam and Alvin Blumer were married on June 9, 1941 in Dubuque, IA.

Miriam farmed with her husband in Albany Township, worked at Oaktron Industries, drove a school bus for the Albany School District, & owned and operated the Yarn Farm. Miriam loved to travel and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her children: Sharon Folk of Apache Junction, AZ; Donald Blumer of Fort Atkinson; Marla Gilbertson of Janesville; Rick (Val) Blumer of Albany; 10 grandchildren: Pam (Brad) Johnson, Jill Engelbrecht, Carmen (Al) Carothers, Lori Sobon, Jim Blumer, Mike Blumer, Justin Gilbertson, Brooke (Adam) Cole, Tiffany (Bryce) Broughton and Nik (Tara) Blumer; 16 great grandchildren: Alex, Ben, Eric, Gavin, Chase, Trey, Derek, Katrina, Lyndsie, Catie, Scott, Devin, Kylee, Hayden, Liam and Charleigh.

She is predeceased by her parents; brother, Nelson Davis, grandson, Nick Gilbertson, great-grandson, Donald Sobon, and twin siblings at birth.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr., and 18th Avenue in Monroe, with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 30th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
