Mary Lou Blinkenberg, 77, Marina, Calif., died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at home peacefully, after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Santa Cruz, Calif. She was born March 26, 1932.
Mary Lou was a caring, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed watching birds from her window and puzzles of all types. She loved interacting with people and received special joy from making them laugh. Her strength and sense of humor in difficult times were an inspiration to all who knew her. Her spirit and courage will live on in our hearts forever.
Survivors are her husband, John Blinkenberg of the family home in Marina; a son, Stephen (Joyce) Blinkenberg of Rancho Murita; a daughter, Lynne Blinkenberg of Brodhead, Wis.; a sister, Sharon Ackerman of Miwuk Village; grandchildren, Erin, Jennifer, and Kelly Thorngate and Scott Flanary; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Blinkenberg, and a son, Gary Blinkenberg.
At the family's request, no services will be held. Cremation to take place.
