DODGEVILLE - Marian (Klemm) Zwicker, age 89 of Monroe, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Uplands Nursing and Rehab. Marian was born in Browntown, WI on December 15, 1919 to Otto E. and Grace (Keel) Klemm. She married Edward P. Zwicker in the Town of Granville, WI on May 11, 1946.
She is survived by her best friend and sister, Betty (Cecil) Daly; children, Thomas E. Zwicker, Susan (Paul) Frenzel, Nancy (Thomas) Wallschlaeger, Jeffrey P. (Kristy) Zwicker; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous neices and nephews. Marian is also survived by sisters-in-law, June Stamas, Delores Krippel and Eleanor (Wilbur) Klemm, whom she also considered a good friend. Marian had many wonderful friends (residents and caregivers) at Uplands in Dodgeville. A very special thank you to those friends for making all her days enjoyable and her last days comfortable. Marian was preceded in death by her siblings, Frieda, Wilbur, Kenneth and Helen; and sister-in-law, Rosalie "Dolly" Salfer.
Marian enjoyed working into her 70s and was always passionate about her crossword puzzles, pets, reading and most of all her family. She was also an avid NY Yankee and Dallas Cowboy fan. She was a very kind person who always put others first. She will be remembered for all the happiness, encouragement and support she provided. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Dr. and 18th Ave. Monroe, with Reverend John Shep of Adams Lutheran Church, Argyle officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from noon until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the Green County Humane Society in Marian's name.
