BELLEVILLE - Margeurite C. Kuhl, age 89, of Belleville, WI passed away May 25, 2009 at the New Glarus Nursing Home in New Glarus, WI. She was born on February 21, 1920 to Porter and Julia (Ruyle) Nay in Monroe, WI. On January 8, 1941 she was united in marriage to Leland D. Kuhl at the Little Brown Church in Iowa.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Belleville. During her life, Margie held many jobs. She worked in the Weber's Meat Market in Belleville, the Dorman Cheese Factory in Monroe, WI. She was a bulk milk hauler driving her own truck and working with her husband. She was president of the Women's Relief Corp in Belleville for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking and playing cards.
She is survived by her children: Sandra King of Sun City, AZ; Linda (Donald) Chandler of Cross Plains, WI; and Gary (Jane) Kuhl of New Glarus, WI. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Shawn (Helen) Johnson, England; Scott (Tammy) Johnson, Hollandale, WI; Brenda (Paul) Scott, Galloway, OH; Bradley Pflager, Dodgeville, WI; Becki Pflager, Belleville, WI; Bryan Kuhl, Mr. Horeb, WI; Holly Kuhl, Sun Prairie, WI; and Wade Kuhl, New Glarus, WI; 5 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law and 8 nephews and nieces.
Her husband, Leland; her parents, Porter and Julia; and a sister, Esther Vollmer, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with Pastor Tina Robinson officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery.
