Margaret Frances (Fran) Haglund, age 86, passed away on April 28, 2015 in Monroe, Wisconsin. She was survived by her loving husband Rev. Richard (Dick) Haglund, five children: Janell Haglund (Thomas) Ray (Windsor, CO), Becky Haglund (Steven) Tousey (Evanston, IL), Randall (Shirley) Haglund (Monroe, WI), Denis (Susan) Haglund (Boise, ID and currently in Central Asia), Dawn Haglund (Washington DC); ten grandchildren: Meaghan (Rob) Moll, James (Brittany) Ray, Kristopher (Kelly) Ray, Duncan Ray, Heidi (Eric) Rufer, Mallory (Jon) Molchin, Rachel (Zach) Reining, Nathaniel Haglund, Johanna Haglund, Bethany Haglund and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar A. Eliason and Sebella V. Eliason, and all six of her siblings: Alfred Eliason, Ruth Mettler, Olive Crabtree, Gladys Pearson, Byron Eliason and David Eliason.
Fran grew up in Grantsburg, Wisconsin and Minneapolis, Minnesota. After high school she attended Mounds Midway School of Nursing in Minneapolis and received her R.N. certification. She met Dick in Chicago while attending Trinity Bible College (now Trinity International University in Bannockburn, IL). They married on September 5, 1953 at Riverside Evangelical Free Church in Minneapolis.
Fran and Dick served the Lord together and ministered faithfully for over 50 years, particularly serving the elderly, their families, and others in critical times of grief and pain. They lived in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, Minnesota, Florida, Colorado, Wyoming and Arizona before retiring in Monroe.
A celebration of Fran's life will be held at a later date in Monroe.
