Lydia Marie McMicken, age 78 of rural Argyle, Wisconsin, died Thursday, August 26, 2010 at her home. She was born September 27, 1931 at Murray, Utah, the daughter of Harold and Lydia (Umphrey) Moore. She graduated from East Aurora, IL High School and attended Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Chicago, IL.
Lydia and Wyllie McMicken were married August 18, 1951 in Aurora, IL. Lydia worked at the Bank of Naperville at Naperville, IL and was a Trust Officer for First National Bank of Monroe, WI for 22 years. She was a member and president of Aurora, IL Junior Women's Club, was the first woman in the Monroe Rotary Club, a member of The Historic Cheese Making Center, and Monroe Arts Center.
Surviving are her husband, Wyllie McMicken of rural Argyle, WI; daughter, Margo McMicken of rural Argyle, WI; and grand-daughters, Emily Harris of Argyle, WI and Erica Harris of Mineral Point, WI. She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Warren Moore.
Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Scotch Wheatland Presbyterian Church Cemetery at Plainfield, IL, with Rev. Mary Gaffner officiating.
Memorials may be given to either Monroe Clinic Hospice or Washington Reformation United Church of Christ, rural Monticello, WI.
