Lucille D. "Lucy" Roidt

SUN PRAIRIE - Lucille D. "Lucy" Roidt, 72, passed away from Leukemia on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born in Fond du Lac, Wis. on Feb. 23, 1945, the daughter of Gilbert and Dolores (Soles) Abler. She grew up in Mt. Calvary, Wis. and married Jim Roidt in 1971. Lucy loved and adored her children and grandchildren, and going on family vacations together, especially Jellystone. Lucy enjoyed riding her bicycle, playing lots of cards and chatting with her friends in her water aerobics class. She was an avid Brewers, Packers and Badgers fan.

Lucy is survived by her children: Sherry (Jim) Hansen of Germantown, Sarah Roidt of Milwaukee and Bernie (Beth) Roidt of Monroe; five grandchildren: Aaron, Brinley and Samuel Roidt and Mia and Brock Hansen; a sister, Rosie (Phillip) Eickhoff; a brother, John (Bonnie) Abler; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Sun Prairie United Methodist Church, 702 North St., Sun Prairie, Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at noon with Pastor Jenny Arneson officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of the service. A luncheon will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be donated to the Monroe High School Scholarship Fund or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

We love you so much mom and grandma and will miss you every day.
