MONROE/BRODHEAD - Louise M. Zentner, age 88, of Monroe, formerly of Brodhead, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe. She was born on December 26, 1924 in Sylvester Township, Green County, WI, the daughter of Werner and Edna (Ringhand) Hauri. She married Roy R. Zentner on May 14, 1948 at the First Baptist Church, Albany, WI.

Louise farmed with her husband in Adams Township, Green County. She had been the head cook at Swiss Colony and the Swiss Wheel, had worked for Advance Transformer, and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, all of Monroe. She also had attended the Gap Church. Louise was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. She loved dancing, being around farm animals, cooking, and flowers.

Louise is survived by her husband, Roy R., Monroe; a daughter, Connie (Brian) Cline; two sons, Curtis (Ruth) Zentner, Craig (Mary Jo) Zentner, all of Monroe; a sister, Grace Berhing, Evansville, WI; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ervin Hauri, and three sisters, Selma Pengra, Esther Zweifel, and Dorothy Kipfer.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI. A private family service will be held on Wednesday with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead, WI. Online condolences can be made at www.dlnewcomerfuneralhome.com
