Louis A. Indergand, age 94, of Monroe, died on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Azura Memory Care. He was born on March 13, 1920 in Monroe, the son of Albin and Elsie (Rufer) Indergand. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's United Church of Christ. He attended the Iliff and Bethel Schools. Louis married Dorothea Norder-Buchholtz on May 26, 1979 at the Union Presbyterian Church in Monroe. He was a farmer for many years, then he went to work for Kennedy Construction black topping and his last job was as a painter.

Louis was a member of Union Presbyterian Church. Louis and Dorothea spent many years at their home at Castle Rock in the summers. He loved to visit with family and friends.

He is survived by a sister, Gloria (Charles) Opie of Gratiot; step-son, Robert Buchholtz of Waukesha; 3 step-grandchildren; 2 step-greatgrandchildren; several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothea; brothers: Kenneth, Brooks, and Victor, in infancy.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, July 29, at 11:00 a.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home with Reverend Marilyn Sandin- Ross officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
