Lafayette County Sheriff

On October 17:

● 5:57 p.m. Meghan E Saunders, 36, Gratiot reported striking a deer on CTH M, Wiota Township. No injuries were reported and Saunders’s 2021 Chevrolet received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

● 8:10 p.m. Scott D Cernek, 61, Gratiot reported striking a deer on CTH KK, Gratiot Township. No injuries were reported and Cernek’s 2006 Toyota received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On October 16:

● 7:01 a.m. Argyle Fire and EMS responded to CTH N, Argyle Township for a motorcycle accident. Scott W Varner, 58, Blanchardville was traveling on CTH N on his 2007 Harley when he swerved to miss a deer and laid the motorcycle down, coming to rest in the ditch. Varner was transported to the Hospital and later Medflighted to UW. The Harley was towed from the scene. Deputies and Blanchardville Police assisted on scene.

On October 18:

● 3:10 a.m.  Melissa K Foecking, 41, Belmont reported striking a deer on CTH I, New Diggings.  Foecking’s 2014 GMC received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

● 7:13 p.m. Octavia J Meylor, 19, Mineral Point reported striking a deer on STH 23, Willow Springs Township.  Meylor’s 2015 Ford received moderate damage and towed from the scene.


Monroe Police

On October 13:

● At 7:51 p.m., officers conducted a traffic offense stop for a traffic violation in the 900 block of 17th Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of Yeliks Migdonio Rodriguez Bellorin, 27, Monroe, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense. Rodriguez Bellorin was also cited for unnecessary acceleration, failure to maintain control of the vehicle, operating the wrong way on a one-way street, and operating without motor vehicle insurance. Rodriguez Bellorin was released to a responsible person pending a court appearance. 

On October 15:

● At 6:16 p.m., officers arrested Gregory P. Wasylyk, 57, Monroe, in the 600 block of 26th Street, after being called to a welfare check. Wasylyk was charged with physical abuse to a child and was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.


Green County Sheriff

On October 16:

● At 8:37 p.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the W5500 block of Center Road, in the Town of Monroe for the report of a disturbance. Investigation resulted in Aubrey E. McNett, 37 of Monroe, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Battery, both domestic related. McNett was later released pending court.

On October 17:

● At 11:40 p.m., Deputies, Brodhead Police Department, and Albany EMS responded to the 300 block of North Mechanic Street, in the Village of Albany for the report of a crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Brittney E. Tande, 28 of Albany was traveling northbound when she collided with a unoccupied, legally parked vehicle. Tande reported no injuries. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Tande was cited for Inattentive Driving and released pending court.
