Monroe Police

MONROE — Ryan C. Paschal, 60, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 7:17 p.m. Jan. 17 in the 500 block of 6th Street. He was jailed.

On Jan. 21:

●  Mchardy M. Way, 42, Temple, Texas, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 1:48 a.m. Jan. 21 in the 600 block of Wis. 69. Way was also cited for unreasonable and imprudent speed and unnecessary acceleration. Way was released to a responsible party. 

●  Brandon R. Welsch, 46, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 2:33 a.m. Jan. 22 in the 1900 block of 11th Street. He was also cited for prohibited alcohol concentration. He was released to a responsible party. 

●  Dennis E. Buete., 51, Monroe, was arrested on a fourth-offense charge of operating while intoxicated and felony bail jumping at 8:22 a.m. Jan. 23 in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West in Monroe. He was jailed.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Jan. 9 to Jan. 15, police performed 14 security checks, 18 citizen assists, six assists of other agencies, 19 follow-ups to incidents, eight vehicle registration and five traffic stops; responded to 15 calls for service and reported seven EMS calls, 15 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and two fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

●  Police responded to check welfare at 9:45 p.m. Jan. 10 in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.  

●  A traffic crash was reported at 3:23 p.m. Jan. 11 in the 2100 block of West 9th Avenue. No citations were issued. 

On Jan. 13: 

●  Fraud was reported at 10:57 a.m. in the 1100 block of West 2nd Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

●  Two dogs at large were reported at 12:46 p.m. in the 700 block of East 2nd Avenue. A warning was issued. 

On Jan. 14: 

●  An abandoned vehicle was reported at 6:05 p.m. on 1st Street and East 9th Avenue. It was found the vehicle ran out of gas. 

●  A horse running loose was reported at 8:21 p.m. in the 100 block of 1st Street. Police were unable to locate the horse.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 8:25 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued. 

●  Police responded to check welfare at 9:47 p.m. in the 600 block of 10th Street. 

On Jan. 20: 

●  A traffic crash was reported at 8 a.m. in the 2300 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning for inattentive driving was issued. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 5:30 p.m. in the W700 block of Golf Course Road. The vehicles left prior to police arrival. 

●  A Brodhead man, 51, was cited for failure to stop at stop sign at 1:44 p.m. Jan. 21 in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.


Monticello Police 

MONTICELLO — Police issued four citations for violations of the downtown parking ordinance at 2:45 a.m. Jan. 9. 

On Jan. 10: 

●  Police issued a citation for violation of the 24-hour parking ordinance at 1:22 a.m. in the 100 block of Staedtler Avenue. 

●  A lost wallet was reported at 2:20 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. 

On Jan. 11: 

●  Police issued a citation for violation of the downtown parking ordinance at 2:35 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. 

●  Police received an inquiry about a lost dog from rural Albany at 8:42 p.m. No dog at large in Monticello had been reported. 

On Jan. 12: 

●  A vehicle driving with studded tires was reported at 9:31 a.m. Owner was informed on state laws on use of studded tires. 

●  Police checked on two vehicles at 7:49 p.m. parked at a business in the 400 block of North Pratt Road. Everything was found to be okay. 

On Jan. 13: 

●  Police located horses loose on the roadway at 1:46 a.m. on County C. Green County Sheriff’s Department and Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department were notified. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 11:21 a.m. This remains under investigation. 

MONTICELLO — Police assisted Green County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle crash at 5:32 p.m. Jan. 16 on Wis. 69 and Washington Road. 

On Jan. 17: 

●  Police assisted Green County Sheriff’s Office with an animal complaint at 8:31 a.m. in the W6100 block of County C. 

●  Police responded at 11:17 a.m. to the village. Monticello Fire First Response and green County EMS assisted. 

●  Police responded at 4:29 p.m. to the village. Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS assisted. 

On Jan. 18: 

●  Fraud was reported at 10:21 a.m. in the 300 block of East Park Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

●  Found property was reported at 1:47 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. The property was returned to owner. 

●  A code violation complaint was reported at 4:15 p.m. in the 200 block of East Wisconsin Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

On Jan. 19: 

●  A parking citation was issued at 2:47 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. 

●  Police responded at 9:07 a.m. to the village. Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS assisted. 

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 9:21 a.m. in the 300 block of North Monroe Street. 

On Jan. 20: 

●  Police responded at 8:01 a.m. to the village. Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS assisted. 

●  Police responded at 4:44 p.m. to the village. Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS assisted. 

On Jan. 21: 

●  Police assisted Green County Sheriff’s Office with a disabled vehicle at 8:14 a.m. in the N5900 block of Wis. 69. 

●  Two dogs running at large was reported at 2:52 p.m. on Lake Avenue and North Main Street.

 

Green County Sheriff 

MONROE — On Jan. 13: 

●  Brenda C. Bradt, 33, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating under the influence of a restricted controlled substance at 2:58 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. She was also cited for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia and failure to stop at stop sign. 

●  Lucas A. Noble, 24, Monroe, was arrested on a probation hold issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections at 9:06 a.m. at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe. He was released due to unforeseen circumstances. 

 

Lafayette County Sheriff 

DARLINGTON — On Jan. 13: 

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 12 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle. 

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 1:26 a.m. on Donahoe Drive in Darlington. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 9:49 a.m. on County F, Town of Seymour. 

●  A scam was reported at 3:38 p.m. on Mason Street, Town of Wiota. 

●  An injured animal on the roadway was reported at 5:41 p.m. on County G, Town of Kendall and at 7:36 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. 

●  A deputy assisted Darlington Police Department with a juvenile problem at 7:29 p.m. on Center Hill Road in Darlington. 

●  A deputy assisted Platteville Police Department at 9:06 p.m. on Water Street in Benton. 

On Jan. 14: 

●  A deputy responded for a citizen assist at 5:53 a.m. on Larson Road, Town of Wiota.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 7:14 a.m. on White School Road, Town of Monticello. 

●  A deputy responded for an alarm at 12:37 p.m. on South Mound Avenue in Belmont. 

●  Lexis A. Macomber, 25, Darlington, was cited for speeding at 1:12 p.m. on East Platteville Avenue in Belmont. 

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 9:36 p.m. on West Grove Street in South Wayne. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 11:21 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota. 

On Jan. 16:

●  Renae A. Pearson, 38, Beloit, was cited for speeding at 8:01 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne.
