On April 2:
● 3:51 a.m. officers arrested Hugo J. Leonel, 19, Freeport, IL, following a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 2600 block of 2nd Avenue. Leonel was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense, possession of tetrahydrocannabinols (TH C), possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Leonel was also cited for operating without a valid driver’s license and having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Leonel was booked and released to a responsible person pending a court appearance.
On April 4:
● At approximately 7:31 p.m. Officers received information that several subject were inside a business in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West. Investigation into the complaint resulted in Kelsey A. Wuethrich, 32, Monroe, being arrested on several active Arrest Warrants. A second subject, Brandy M. Williams, 40, Browntown was also arrested on several active Arrest Warrants. Brandy was also charged with Felony Bail Jumping for violating conditions of her bond. Kelsey and Brandy were both taken to the Green County Jail where they were held without bond pending court.
On April 6:
● 12:33 a.m., officers conducted a traffic offense top in the 2000 block of 6th Street. An investigation resulted in the arrest of Mason J. Hughes, 20, Mineral Point, for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-lst offense and possession of a narcotic. Hughes was cited for improper stop at stop sign, excessive window tint, and open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Hughes was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
● 9:17 p.m., officers were called to a residence in the 1700 block of 8th Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance. An investigation resulted in the arrest of Rigoberto Vazquez Tapia, 34, Monroe, for disorderly conduct and battery under the Wisconsin Domestic Abuse Laws. Vazquez Tapia posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.
On April 7:
● 5:59 p.m., officers arrested Courtney J. Jackson, 26, Monroe, at a residence in the 1000 block of 7th Avenue, on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Jackson was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
● 8:05 p.m., officers arrested Daniel J. Ubersox, 38, Blanchardville, at a residence in the 800 block of 29th Street, on a warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department from a prior Domestic Violence case. Ubersox was also arrested on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriffs Office for a child support. Ubersox was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On April 8:
● 11:46 p.m., officers were called to the report of an assault at a business in the 1900 block of l0th Avenue. An investigation led to the arrest of Olivia A. Bassett, 24, Oklahoma City, OK, and Hane Baftiri, 19, Parsons, KS. Bassett was charged with battery and was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. Baftiri was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing officers, and was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On April 1:
● At approximately 3:11 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop on STH 69 at W. Coates Avenue for an observed traffic violation. As a result of the traffic stop, Derek E. Gobeli, 36, of Warren, Illinois was cited for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, failure to display front license plate, operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration, and failure to install an ignition interlock device (IID) as required by a court order. There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

● 11:41 a.m. A deputy responded to a one vehicle accident on Woodberry RD, Willow Springs Township. Lori J. Douglas, 58, Darlington, was operating on Woodberry RD when she struck a dog. No injuries were reported and Douglas’ 2016 Ford received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

Injuries were reported and Hendrickson’s 2020 Jeep received severe damage and was towed from the scene. ● 5:21 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH KK, Gratiot Township for a one-vehicle accident. Payton W Wolf, 18, Warren IL was traveling on CTH KK when he lost control of his vehicle, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway, into the ditch, due to the icy road conditions. Wolf was transported to the Monroe Clinic and Hospital by private vehicle. Wolf’s 2004 BMW received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
