Lillian B. (Reilly) Reilly, 91, of Wauwatosa and formerly of Monroe, passed into her next life on June 5, 2010.

Lillian was born on May 3, 1919 in the town of Eden, WI to William and Katherine (Baumhardt) Reilly. After graduating from Campbellsport High School, she moved to Milwaukee and worked at Briggs and Stratton. She met her future husband, Dr. Thomas Reilly, while he was a student at the Marquette University Dental School.

On June 19, 1943, Lillian and Tom were married at Gesu Catholic Church on the Marquette campus in Milwaukee. They renewed their wedding vows at Gesu in 1993 on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

After Tom's four years of military service, they moved to Monroe in 1947 where Tom established his dental practice. They raised their five children in their family home on Lake Drive. In 2007, Lillian moved to The Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa to be closer to family.

Lillian was a member of St. Victor Catholic Church and active in the American Legion Auxiliary Post 84 serving as president several terms. Tom and Lillian were very dedicated to the welfare of veterans and their families.

Lillian will be remembered for her devotion to family, compassion for others and love of her Irish heritage.

Surviving are her five children: Sharon (Ron) Reilly Hick of Minneapolis; Mike (Linda) Reilly of Madison; Pat (Steve) Holzinger of Lebanon, IN; Maureen (Mark) Kenfield of Wauwatosa; and Tom (Deb) Reilly of Stoddard, WI; grandchildren: Brendan Williams, Dean Zingg, Richard, April and Corey Reilly, Michael Myers, Stephanie Holzinger, Ryan Bernardi, Meaghan and Lilli Kenfield; step-grandchildren: Brent, Brian and Chris Lukens, Jon Holzinger, Shelly Moline; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers Jim (Mickey) Reilly and Tom Reilly; a sister, Jeanne Reilly Secor; sister-in-law, Audrey Reilly; brother-in-law, James Reilly; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Katherine (Baumhardt) Reilly; her husband, Dr. Thomas Reilly; four sisters, Mary, Helen, Coletta and Sally; nine brothers, Lawrence, Leo, George, John, Emmett, Donald, William, Ambrose, and Michael; her in-laws, Thomas and Edna (Bostwick) Reilly, and stepmother-in-law, Josephine (Turi) Reilly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at St. Victor Catholic Church with Father Michael Klarer officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Monroe. Lunch will be served at the Monroe American Legion Post. Visitation will be on Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials suggested in Lillian's name to the American Legion Auxiliary Post #84, St Victor Parish, Monroe or The Lutheran Home, Wauwatosa.
