Leanne Combs-Funk, 52, of Weston, Wisconsin and former Freeport resident, died Saturday August 13, 2011 in Jo Daviess County from injuries resulting from a motorcycle accident. Leanne was born on February 28, 1959, in Freeport the daughter of Leland and Betty (Kemper) Combs. Leanne worked as the director of Surgical Services and Same Day Care at the Marshfield Clinic in Weston, Wisconsin. Leanne's family and friends meant everything to her. She enjoyed riding her Harley and going boating. She liked cats and following the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.
Survivors include, parents; Leland and Betty Combs, son; Brandon (Christen) Funk of Tucson, Arizona, one daughter; Alisha Funk of Wausau, Wisconsin and sister Linda (Kent) Phalen of Lakeville, Minnesota. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her brother, Greg Combs.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday August 18, 2011 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs.
