Kim J. Zimmerman, age 60, of Shenandoah, Iowa, formerly of Monroe, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, October 29, 2015. Kim was born on March 5, 1955 in Madison, the son of Forrest and Marjorie (Budd) Zimmerman. He attended Oakley Country School and graduated from Juda High School in 1973. He worked for John Deere Implement and Monroe Truck Equipment for many years before moving to Iowa to work as an expediter for Fagen Ethanol Builders. Kim loved to collect antiques, toys and tractors, and attend auctions. He would collect and sell almost anything.

He is survived by his son, Chris (Amber) Zimmerman of Cross Plains, Wisconsin; a grandson, Cameron Zimmerman; two sisters, Vickie (Ron) Gobeli of Monroe, and Julie Gallien of Los Angeles, California; nieces, Kelly Pulcine and Kimberly Gobeli (Brandon Lohaus), both of Monroe; great nieces, Kaia and Elexis Pulcine, Alex Schneeberger, and Aravah Lohaus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest (2015) and Marjorie (2010); and a brother, Lee Kelso (1988).

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015, at 11:30 a.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, with Reverend Randy Booth officiating. Interment will follow in Oakley Union Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Kim's name.
