Kay A. Smith, age 71 of Albany, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison. She was born July 3, 1942 the daughter of Lawrence and Kathryn (Regez) Wegner. Kay was a graduate of Monroe High School. She married Thomas Smith on June 18, 1961 in Monroe. She worked at Bishop's Buffet in Janesville for 14 years.
Kay was a member of the Rocky Rollers Camping Club, and enjoyed cooking, camping, and loved to collect and read books.
Kay is survived by her husband, Thomas, her son Scott (Betty) Smith, Harrodsburg, KY, 3 step-grandchildren, Penny, Paul, and Brian, her sister, Susan (Charles) Veazey, Carlsbad, NM.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 4, at the Albany Lions Club at noon, with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany.
