Julia M. Anderson, age 91, of Argyle, WI, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012, at New Glarus Home in New Glarus, WI. She was born November 6, 1920 in Lamont Township in Lafayette County, WI, the daughter of Fred and Goldie (Olson) Duerst. Julia was united in marriage to Melvin A. Anderson on September 8, 1936 in Blanchardville, WI. She lived in the Argyle area until moving into the village of Argyle in 1962. Julia worked at Oaktron and Swiss Colony before beginning at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI, where she worked in Housekeeping for 14 years. Julia retired in 1982.

Julia is survived by three children: Charles (Cammy) Anderson of Waunakee, WI, Edward Anderson of Tempe, AZ, and Martha (Doral) Nall of Gold Canyon, AZ; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband on September 26, 1971; one son: David Anderson on September 22, 1996; and a special friend: Ray L. Crane on August 15, 2005.

Julia was a lifelong member of Apple Grove Lutheran Church and its Women of ELCA. She loved dancing and playing cards in her younger years. Julia will be missed, but will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Apple Grove Lutheran Church, 14501 Apple Grove Church Road in rural Argyle with Rev. Daniel L. Bohlman officiating. Burial will be in Apple Grove Cemetery in rural Argyle. A visitation will be held Friday, February 10, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erickson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 801 East Milwaukee Street in Argyle and also on Saturday, February 11, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
