Julia Ann Mulligan, age 97, of Iowa, formerly of Monroe and Freeport, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at West Wing Place in DeWitt, IA. She was born on July 21, 1918 in Clarno, Township, daughter of Lee and Lillian (Binger) Rinehart. Julia and Edward C. Mulligan were married on March 23, 1946, in Monroe.
Julia enjoyed, cooking, gardening, fishing, sewing, reading and crocheting.
She is survived by her son, Ed (Marsha) Mulligan of Freeport, IL; daughter, Beverly (Pati VanGorp) Mulligan of DeWitt, IA; grandchildren: Ryan (Dawn) Mulligan of Monroe, Patrick (Jennifer) Mulligan of Freeport, IL, Christopher (Ashlee) Mulligan of Harrisburg, IL., and 12 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband, 4 brothers, and 5 sisters.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 9th, at 11:00 a.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr., and 18th Ave., in Monroe, WI., with Pati VanGorp officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be April 9th, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
