Judith L. Durgin, age 72, of Monroe, died on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on May 19, 1943 in Spring Grove Township, the daughter of Hilton and Emma (Hegi) Berndt and was a 1961 graduate of Monroe High School.
Judith and Hugh Durgin were married on August 31, 1968 in Monroe. She was employed at Advance Transformer for 37 years and later at the Charleton Company for 9 years.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Women of the Moose Lodge Chapter #599, she was past president, of the former Eagles Club. She enjoyed music and collecting Dachshunds and owls.
She is survived by her husband, Hugh, of Monroe; mother, Emma Berndt of Monroe; and brother, Marion (Lillian) Berndt of Monroe. She is also survived by nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
She is predeceased by her father.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor John Tabaka officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service, at the Church. SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE funeral home is assisting the family.
