Joyce Marie Norder, 88, of Monroe passed away, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at The Monroe Clinic Hospice Home. She was born on April 25, 1929 the daughter of Charles and Viola (Grabow) Bartelt. Joyce was united in marriage to Frederick Norder in 1948 in Monroe; together they had one daughter, they later divorced.
Joyce worked for Burgess Battery, Oaktron, and Medina Nursing Home in Durand. She was a longtime member of Congregational United Church of Christ in Brodhead. Joyce enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Henning; nine grandchildren, Henri (Dudley) Timm, their children, Scott, Cory, and Eric, Fred (Carrie) Norder, their children, Joseph, Camryn, Keith, and David, Gena (Jesse Zuelke) Henning, children, Autumn and Hunter Pehl, Joe (Sara) Henning, their children, Michael and Madalyn, Jennifer (Abe) Valencia, their children, Isaak, Darani, and Blaize, Heather (Shanon) Liphart, their children, Jessika, Vanessa, Rebekah, and Mason, Megan (Mike) Rackow, their son, Thomas, Amy (Ryan) Gerber, their children, Rylee, Aaron, and one expected in January, and Kelsey (Jake Johnson) Henning, their children, Jayce and Aislynn; one great-great grandson, Lincoln Bailey; brother, Nathan Bartelt; sister, Carol Bloomingdale; and special friends, Jim (jean) Belke and Evaline Tresner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers, Ransom, Delbert, Roy, Earl and Alton; sister, Shirley Nolan; and son-in-law, Henry Henning.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Brodhead with Rev. David Frey officiating. Visitation will be held at church on Saturday from 2:00pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
