Josephine B. Voegeli died on July 3rd at the age of 99 at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison, Wisconsin. She was born June 29, 1914 just west of Monticello. She was the daughter of Fred W. Blum and Mary (Speich) Blum, both of whose parents were Swiss immigrants. Josephine attended Klassy Country School, graduated from Monticello High School in 1931 and later graduated from Whitewater State Teachers College which is now the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. After graduation, she taught grade school at Waukesha, Wisconsin. Josephine was married to Paul E. Voegeli on May 9, 1942 at the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello. She remained a member of the church and Green County Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by two sons, Paul W. of Monroe, John of Madison, her daughter in-law, Jean Roberts and her loving grandchildren Laura and Luke. She also leaves behind her close friends Paul and Florence Hefty who provided help allowing her to stay in her home until she was 98. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Mavis, her brother-in-law Max Schuett and her nephew Ronald Schuett.

A visitation will be held at the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello on Thursday July 11th from 10:00 to 11:00 followed by a memorial service.
