John S. Belke age 54, of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at his home, with his dog, his loyal companion, his best friend-Romeo, at his side. He was born on July 16, 1958 in Monroe, the son Raymond and Gladys (Barnwell) Belke. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1977. John married Vicki Jones in September of 1988 in Las Vegas.
John worked for Alpine Redi Mix Concrete in Brodhead. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing and boating. He always enjoyed planning his birthday party for family and friends to enjoy.
He is survived by his mother Gladys, of Monroe; son, Derick (fiancee Lindsay DeBord) of Monroe; daughter, Courtney (James Cowell) Belke of Monroe; brothers, David (Ruthie) Belke of Monroe; Dale (Linda Hawkinson) Belke of Brodhead; and Jim (Jeanie) Belke of Monroe, Thomas Belke of South Wayne; and 1 grandson Xxander.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond.
A Celebration of Life will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke funeral home 1455 Mansion Dr., and 18th Ave. in Monroe. Burial will be at a later date at Rose Cemetery in Mauston, WI.
