January 31 1943 - February 10 2016

Joanne M. Amorose, age 73, of Monroe WI passed away on Wednesday, February 10 2016 at UW Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Jan 31, 1943 in Joliet IL to Maurice and Anne Eddy and was one of five sisters; Maureen (Tom) Cagle, Geraldine Zager, Anna (Dan) Schroeder, Pamela (Bill) Clark. Joanne was married to John (Jack) Amorose Sr. for 40 years. Even though they divorced, they remained good friends enjoying each other's company and supporting and sharing all things family.

Joanne is survived by three daughters, Katy Hess (Edgerton WI), Kristine Amorose (Argyle WI), Tracey Kamps (Monroe WI) and three sons, John Amorose Jr. (Eagle River WI), Jeff (Alison) Amorose (Fredericksburg VA), Sean Amorose (Argyle WI). She had seven grandchildren whom she adored; Christopher and Matthew Severson (Kristine), Nicolas Amorose (John Jr.), Caitlynn Kamps (Tracey), Zachory, Jacob, Samuel Amorose (Jeff & Alison), the "Meatballs' (Sean), and her dear, beloved furry friend, Elizabeth.

The most important priorities in Joanne's life were her children and grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. One of the fondest memories shared by her children were all the wonderful picnic trips and the loading of ten children into the Heiser family pink Rambler to go swimming at Beckman's Lake. She loved sharing time with her family, watching movies, singing, dancing, and having special gourmet meals cooked for her. But, most of all, her children will miss her warm hugs and kisses. Joanne was a loyal friend and maintained lifelong friendships - with her longest being with her "kindred spirits'; Dianne Waage, Dorothy Dammen (Old Biddy), and Nancy Dammen.

Joanne loved to work and gave 30 years of service to Swiss Colony. One of her greatest attributes was that she loved to give. She found great joy providing others with small gifts and mementos. She was happiest shopping, going to garage sales, and playing the slot machines. She was an avid reader, a prolific crocheter, and was known for her famous mostaccioli dish. Joanne was very fond of traveling and her last trip was an Alaskan cruise through the Glacier Straits with her traveling buddy, Vicki Stauffacher.

Joanne was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Michelle, Mother and Father Maurice and Anne Eddy, sisters Maureen Cagle and Geraldine Zager, and her beloved cat Taj (Bernie).

A private family celebration of her life was held on February 12 to remember and celebrate a life well-lived. A beautiful summer day will be chosen to release her ashes on the majestic Mississippi river.

Condolences may be sent to the family home: 1660 Old Hwy 81, Argyle WI 53504
