Harold Casmer, 86, Palm Harbor, Fla., died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn L., Palm Harbor, Fla.; a daughter, Carolyn Weiler, Monroe, WI; a son, David, Chuckey, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda, 56; a grandson, David Jr.; three brothers; and his parents.
He was a U.S Army veteran of World War II. He was born in Illinois and moved to Wisconsin where he was a partner in Casmer-Homb Distributors. The family moved to Florida in 1963 where he spent several years as a realtor before becoming disabled by ill health.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 at Curlew Hills Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday. Burial will follow on Tuesday, May 20, in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla., with military honors at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
