WARREN - Gladys B. Kaiser, 74, of Warren, Illinois, passed away on November 5, 2008 at the FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL. Gladys was born on July 25, 1934 in Galena, IL, to Edmund and Julia (Lewis) Koehler. Gladys farmed in the Warren area for several years, then she worked for Daters Nursing Home and later H&H Farm Chemicals. For 18 years she worked for Eaton Vance, retiring from there in 1991. Later she worked for the Apple River State Bank as a teller until July 2008.

Gladys was a member of the Warren United Methodist Church.

She was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Richard Petty NASCAR fan. She enjoyed cooking especially around the Christmas season making cookies. Most of all she loved to attend all sporting events that her children and grandchildren were involved in.

She is survived by six children: Daniel Kaiser of Warren, Debra (John) White of Monroe, WI, Donna (Paul) Socia of Hampstead, N.C., David (Sharon) Kaiser of Warren, Douglas (Marcia) Kaiser of Monroe, WI, and Dean (Cheri) Kaiser of Warren, IL.

Eleven grandchildren also survive: Nicole (Sean) Norton of Rockford, IL, Brooke Kaiser of Rockford, IL, Trent (Shannan) Kaiser of Monroe, WI, Conner White of Monroe, WI, Jacob (Cheryl) Stiefel of Selinsgrove, PA, Brad Kaiser and friend Jinger Christal of Loves Park, IL, Lindsay Kaiser and fiancée Tim Campbell of Rockford, IL, Kylie Kaiser and Haley Kaiser of Monroe, WI, Kody Kaiser and Kolton Kaiser, both of Warren, IL. Also four great-grandchildren: Justus Stiefel, Jonas Stiefel, Samara Norton, and Avery Kaiser; one sister, Janet (Leo) Upmann of Apple River, IL; and one sister-in-law, Jeannette Koehler of Lena, IL.

Preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Marion Crowley; one brother, Lyle Koehler; one brother-in-law, Ed Crowley; and two siblings in infancy.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2008 at Warren United Methodist Church, Warren, IL. Pastor Yoshiya Takahashi will officiate.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2008, at Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home Warren, IL.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery Warren, IL.

A Memorial has been established in her name.
