Geraldine H. "Gerry" Rosberg, age 89 of New Glarus, WI formerly of Argyle, WI passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at New Glarus Nursing Home. She was born December 3, 1926 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Dean and Gertrude (Michael) Burrell. Gerry was united in marriage to Robert L. Rosberg on December 6, 1974 in Chicago. She lived in Chicago until moving to Argyle in 1987. While living in Chicago she worked at U.S. Gypsum as an accountant. Gerry enjoyed living on their 15 acre farmette with their beautiful Appaloosa horses. In 1993 she moved into the village of Argyle.
Gerry is survived by three daughters; Jeannie Greenberg and Christine Carlton of Chicago, and Bonnie (Darrell) Emberton of Dundee, IL; and four grandchildren: Kimberly Greenberg, Adam Emberton, Jonathan Emberton, and Catherine (Kyle) Goings. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert on August 27, 1992; and grandson Nicholas Traversa in 1995.
Gerry was a member of Cornerstone Lutheran Church in Argyle. She was baptized in 1927 and confirmed in 1940. Gerry was a member of the Red Hat Society and looked forward to meeting daily with friends at Irma's for coffee. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 12:30 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (801 Milwaukee St., Argyle) with Rev. Mae Jean Zelle of Wiota Lutheran Church officiating.
