Gary Lee "Butch" Johnson, 65, of Ligonier passed away on March 2, 2015.

On November 25, 1949, he was born to Bernell V. and Alma (Schneider) Johnson in Monroe, Wisconsin. He married Deborah S. Babler on September 28, 1974.

He attended Monroe High School and went on to serve honorably in the United States Army. After his discharge from the Army in 1971, he worked in the mobile home industry and then he began body work at Ben Glaser Automotive and Dave's Automotive. Then he went to work at Starcraft RV for 17 years.

Gary enjoyed outdoor activities which would include hunting and fishing.

Gary thoroughly loved spending quality time with his dog Teddy. Gary also enjoyed snowmobiling with his wife.

Surviving are his wife, Deborah S. (Babler) Johnson of Ligonier, Indiana; four sisters, Charolotte (Gene) Schuetz of Ligonier, Indiana, Bev (Frank) Rielly of Shullsburg, Wisconsin, Linda (Bob) Sonnenburg of Monroe, Wisconsin, and Sherri (Shawn) Johnson Amacher of Monroe, Wisconsin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janet Evans.

There are no services planned at this time. A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance.
