Floyd Jacob Trumpy, age 87 of Albany/Monroe passed away peacefully on April 10th, 2013. Floyd was born October 31, 1925 the son of Jacob and Rosa (Zenter) Trumpy. Floyd farmed on the Trumpy home farm until 1982 then moving to Albany Township where he enjoyed hobby farming, flower gardens and gardening. Loving every moment watching the deer and geese, which flourished the pond he so much enjoyed. He loved to play cards and enjoyed card club. He also spent some time traveling to Florida with family. Getting together for family reunions was a day Dad always looked forward to each year. It was his day to visit with everyone.
Floyd was a member of Zwingli United Church of Christ of Monticello. Floyd loved his family, grand children and great grandchildren. Floyd lost his wife Elaine on March 29th, 2009 son-in-law Johnny Hellwig February 1st 2010 and a daughter Linda on June 2, 2012. In addition, Floyd was predeceased by his parents Jacob & Rosa Trumpy; brothers Norman, Glenn, Richard (Pat), LeRoy (Norma), Ray (Lois) Trumpy; Sisters, Bertha, Florence (Oliver) Welton, Lorna Boley, Brother in laws Lawrence Karlen, Delbert Krupke, Ralph Frietag and nephews.
Floyd is survived by a daughter Beth Hellwig, Brodhead; three sons, David Trumpy, Donald (Julie) Trumpy, Dale (Ann) Trumpy all of Monticello; five grandchildren, Lynn (Jason) Pendergrass, Penny Trumpy, Tori Trumpy, Dustin Trumpy and Cassandra Trumpy; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Pendergrass, Jarred Pendergrass, Jacob Stumlin, and Isabelle Stumlin; sisters, Helen Frietag, New Glarus, Marian Karlen & Rosemarie Krupke of Monroe. Brother-in-law Merlin Boley, Janesville; sister-in-law Meredith Zoller, Watertown; relatives in Minnesota, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 15, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello, with the Rev. Lawrence Balleine officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Monticello. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. The VOEGELI NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monticello, is assisting the family. A memorial fund will be established in Floyd's name.
