MONROE - Five teens were injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 2 p.m. Saturday on Clarno Road in Clarno township.
Deputies report a pick-up truck driven by Nicholas D. Siegel, 16, Monroe, failed to negotiate a curve, hit an embankment and overturned onto its side. Siegel and four passengers, Ethan D. Studer, 13, Monroe; Dillon M. Johnson, 13, New Glarus; Matthew D. Siegel; and Jenni M. Stretsberg, 15, Monroe, sustained injuries. Three of the teens were taken to the Monroe Clinic for evaluation.
All but one of the passengers were wearing seatbelts, according to the Green County Sheriff's Department.
Siegel was cited for violation of driver's license restrictions and driving too fast for conditions.
The Monroe Fire Department assisted at the scene.
