• At about 6:45 a.m. Thursday to the 600 block of Eighth Avenue, Monroe.
DARLINGTON - Shullsburg, Apple River and Scales Mound Fire Departments responded to a house fire at about 3:35 p.m. Thursday on Martin Road in Monticello township. The house had been struck by lightening. Shullsburg Fire Chief Brad Wiegel said the damage was mostly smoke damage, with some repairable structural damage in the basement. No one was injured. Lafayette County Sheriff deputies assisted at the scene.
