BELLEVILLE - Elizabeth I. O'Connor, age 79, of Belleville, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on August 25, 1929, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison to her parents, Vincent and Irene (Norton) Eagan. Elizabeth graduated from Belleville High School in 1947 and attended UW-Madison for one year. On March 31, 1951, she was united in marriage to William J. O'Connor Jr. at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Belleville. Elizabeth worked for the Rasmussen Agency in Belleville for 49 years and assisted her husband Bill on the farm. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Dayton and St. Mary of Lourdes in Belleville. Liz loved her cocker spaniels and cats.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, William J. O'Connor Jr. of Belleville; her children, Jayne (Larry) Kosmeder of Belleville, Marcy (Stan) Keehn of Monroe, Ruth (Dan) Wyttenbach of Belleville, Bill (Joan) O'Connor of Albany, and Paul (Diane) O'Connor of Belleville; grandchildren, Robbie and Billy Kosmeder, Kyle (Teresa) Keehn, Ryan and Jared Keehn, Christopher, Kathryn, and Rachel Wyttenbach, Jason Reimer, Nicole (William) Cockroft, and Sean and Lauren O'Connor; three great-grandchildren, Connor Cockroft and William and Bradyn Keehn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and many aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2008, at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, 221 Frederick St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Kenneth Klink officiating with burial in St. James Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.
A memorial fund has been established.
