ORANGEVILLE - Eileen Rosemary Zimmerman, 86, of Orangeville, IL, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI. Eileen was born at Stanley, WI on August 14, 1921. She was the daughter of Frank and Veronica (Chwala) Seidl.
She married Louis H. Zimmerman on July 27,1943 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Stanley, and together they farmed in the Boyd, WI area for the first 10 years. In 1966 they moved and made there home in Oneco, IL. From 1968 to 1976 Advance Transformers in Monroe employed her. In 1976 Eileen and Louis moved to Hawaii and then returned in 1978. For the next 16 years she was employed by Swiss Colony of Monroe, where she worked part time in the food processing areas and also as a shipping clerk until 1994 when she retired from working. She was a member of the St. Victor's Catholic Church in Monroe and the American Legion Auxiliary of Orangeville, IL. Eileen was a member of the Rebekkas and the Orangeville Senior Citizens Group. Her hobbies included floral arranging, country music and cooking.
Surviving are her children: 2 sons, Steve Zimmerman and Bruce (Mary) Zimmerman, all of Orangeville, IL; 3 daughters, Sharon (Richard) Harding of Red Bluff, CA., Kathy Peterlik of Cadott, WI and Jill (Paul) Chapman of New Glarus, WI; 12 grandchildren: Angela (Russ) Edmonds of Red Bluff, CA, Christopher Harding of Anchorage, Alaska, Lance Peterlik of Eau Clare, WI, Glenn Peterlik of Chippewa Falls, WI, Kyle Zimmerman and fiancée Trinity Martin of Orangeville, IL, Matt Zimmerman of Orangeville, IL, Eliza Zimmerman of Monticello, WI, Amy Zimmerman of Pearl City, IL Ashley, Jonathan, Chase and Alexandria Chapman all of New Glarus, WI; 1 great-grandson, Keegan Zimmerman of Orangeville, IL; 1 brother, Roland (Janice) Seidl of Stanley, WI; and 1 sister, Betty Navickas of Reseda, CA.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis in 1996; 1 son, Dennis in 1998; and 1 sister, Evelyn in infancy in 1923.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008 at St. Victor's Catholic Church in Monroe, WI. Father Michael E. Klarer will officiate
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Cramer-Leamon Funeral Home in Orangeville, IL.
Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday May 9, 2008 at Edson Union Cemetery, Edson, WI.
