Donna H. Wartenweiler, age 80, of Monroe, died on December 5, 2016, surrounded by her family.

Donna was born on November 24, 1936 in Browntown, the daughter of Lorell and Ruth (Gordee) Severson.

Donna was a 1955 graduate of Monroe High School.

Donna and Robert A. Wartenweiler were united in marriage on January 29, 1957 in Evansville, Indiana. She lived in the surrounding towns and Monroe all of her life.

Donna, along with her husband, Robert, owned Monroe Plumbing and Heating. She also worked at Swiss Colony in order corrections for many years.

Donna was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #599 and VFW post # 2312. She enjoyed spending time at their cabin by Rhinelander; spending time with their children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, happily married for 59 years; children: Deb (Craig) Holmes of Pearl City, IL; Robert W. (Bev) Wartenweiler of Monroe, Kathy (Jeff) Rufer of Monroe, Wendy Wartenweiler of Oregon; grandchildren: Scott (Jenni) Musser, Andrew (Stacey Bergfeld), Mitch Rufer, Nick and Lola Bronchetti and great-grandchildren, Avery Rufer, Kinley and Kellen Musser; brother, Roger (Jan) Severson of Madison. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, step-father, Robert Trickel; and brother, Daryl Severson.

Per Donna's wishes there will be no visitation, private family services will be held at a later date.
