NEW GLARUS - Mr. Donald J. Buesser, age 75, of New Glarus, WI passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born July 28, 1936 in Monroe, the son of Pius and Meta (Marty) Buesser. Don graduated from New Glarus High School Class of 1954. He farmed with his father for many years and then worked for Carnes Corporation, Duluth Trading Company, Conney Safety Products, and Wells Printing. Donald was baptized and confirmed at Swiss United Church of Christ, New Glarus. He loved to travel to Switzerland to visit family and friends. Don also enjoyed attending Polka Fests in the area.

Don is survived by his sister Dorene (Howard) Disch - Severson of New Glarus, WI, a niece Sharon Darrow (Bill Tomkins) of Oregon, WI, a nephew Larry (Laura) Moldenhauer of Middleton, WI, great nieces Marcy (Derek) Dahlk, Mindy (Chris) Wetzel, Marta (JT) Budworth, and Stephanie (Troy) Loether, great-great nieces and nephew Lucy and Ruby Dahlk, Cora Wetzel, Tianna, Chloe, and Isaac Loether, and great-step-nephews Chris and David Ripp.

He was preceded in death by his parents Pius and Meta Buesser, Brother in Laws Robert E. Moldenhauer and Delmar H. Disch, and an infant niece Marcy Disch.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 6th Ave., New Glarus, WI with burial in the Swiss Church Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 6th Ave., New Glarus, WI.
