Donald E. Ormond, age 52 of Monroe, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 as the result of a motorcycle accident. Don was born August 11, 1959 in Baraboo, Wisconsin, the son of Douglas A. Ormond and Shirley (Templin) Ormon Roudebush. Don graduated from Baraboo High School in 1977 and received an Associate Degree from Concordia University in Mequon, WI.

He retired after serving 21 years in the National Guard. He worked as a manager for Pizza Hut in Baraboo for several years, as a production manager for Greenco Industries in Monroe for 21 years, was a projectionist at the Goetz Theatre, and worked security for the Swiss Colony. Most recently Don was employed by Martin Security of Madison. Don enjoyed playing the drums in the Mello Tones Polka Band, was an avid hunter, car enthusiast, and enjoyed gardening and yardwork.

He is survived by two daughters, Jaclyn Ormond and Roberta Ormond; his partner, Wendy Althaus and her sons, Austyn and Kody Althaus, all of Monroe; a sister, Bonni Roudebush Alt of Wisconsin Dells; two brothers, Charles (Jeanne) Ormond and Ray Ormond, both of Baraboo; and the mother of his daughters, Patricia Pate Ormond of Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Donna Peterson.

Visitation for Donald Ormond will be at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. followed by a time of sharing at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Baraboo. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Don's name.
