Don Reinking

Don Reinking, age 85, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on December 26, 1930, the son of Karl and Lydia (Pauli) Reinking in Dane County. He married Lila Schneider on October 21, 1950 at the Swiss United Church of Christ in New Glarus; then making their home in Monroe.

He worked in construction mainly as a Construction Supervisor all his life in the Monroe area, retiring in 1993 from the John Bruni Architects and Associates. He was an avid hunter; especially enjoying the outdoors.

Don was a former member of the 32nd division of the National Guard in the late 40's. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe.

He is survived by his wife Lila; 2 daughters, Barbara (Cary) Moran of Colgate, WI and Kathy (Steve) Hermsen of Appleton and 2 granddaughters, Mikayla and Katelyn Hermsen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Richard (at birth) and Eugene in 1964.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 4, 2016 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, with Pastor Tiff Bates officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
