Deanne M. Monaghan (Nee Haviland) peacefully left this earth on October 15, 2016 surrounded by family.
Her hard fought battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer has come to an end; however, those who love her do not declare the end of her battle as a loss. Deanne fought resiliently with every breath she took; unfortunately, her body could no longer house her vibrant soul.
Those fortunate enough to have met Deanne were well aware of her genuine love for life. Deanne found beauty in everyone and everything that surrounded her, positively impacting all who she encountered. Deanne passionately worked to spread her vision and joy to the world. She found relaxation on the beach in Longboat Key, Florida, enjoyed attending art fairs, walking her dogs, and sitting outside by the fire with a glass of Chardonnay in hand. Deanne loved her family unconditionally, and will be greatly missed but remembered forever.
Deanne was born June 9, 1960 to Tom and Mary Haviland of Antioch, Illinois. She is survived by her husband Mike and beautiful children Alec and Elyse of Whitefish Bay. Further survivors are her mother Mary; sister Donna (Brant) Andre; brother Tom (Mary Ann) Haviland; Father-In-Law John Monaghan; Brother-In-Law Larry (Kathy) Roosli; and Sisters-In-Law Vonnie Flannery, Jean (Jim) Sinkule, Mary (Bob) Schultz; Nieces and Nephews Michael (Fiance Meghan), Colton, Katie, Cooper, Jonathan (Lauren), Erin (Paul), Sean (Jody), Rob (Amanda), Robyn, Alyssa and Matthew. Also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding her in death by her father Tom; Mother-In-Law Virginia; Aunt Kathleen; and her uncles Tom, Jack, and Mike.
Visitation will be held Monday October 24 at Old St. Mary Parish, 844 N. Broadway from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Metavivor.org, a charity where 100 percent of donations fund the research to combat Metastatic Breast Cancer. Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Service, Mequon is serving the family. (262) 241-8085 www.schmidtandbartelt.com.
