David J. Dunphy, 63, of Yuma, AZ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Scripps Green Hospital in San Diego, CA. David was born on May 29, 1951 in Monroe, Wisconsin. He graduated from Albany High School in Albany, WI in 1969. Following graduation, David farmed in Green County, Wisconsin for 15 years before moving to the Yuma area in 1984. While in Yuma, David worked as a Construction Superintendent for several firms including Zeller's Excavating and most recently for DPE Construction. David took great pride in his work and was proud of the many projects he completed in the Yuma area. He loved his wife and family dearly. David enjoyed boating, watching sports, golfing, and playing with his beloved dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Deedy (LaRose) Dunphy of Yuma, AZ; son, Lonn Dunphy (Heather) of Mesa, AZ; daughters, Meghan Dunphy (Levi) of Yuma, AZ and Kari LaRose of Yuma, AZ; brother, Michael (Bette) Dunphy of Belleville, WI; sister, Connie (Tom) Burkhard of Yuma, AZ; and granddaughter, Brenna. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harland and Phyllis (Petersen) Dunphy.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Yuma Mortuary, 775 S. 5th Ave, Yuma, AZ. A reception will follow at The Mine Shaft, 3905 S. 4th Ave, Yuma, AZ.
